Event Housecleaning

Set automated procedures for cleaning up events after the event date has passed. If you select 'Do Nothing' then you'll be responsible for changing the event status. Making changes to this section AFTER initially setup will cause Gigbuilder to re-examine all events which can take some time, so be patient.

Housecleaning Options

You may apply one or more of the following options which will take effect the following morning when Housecleaning is run (approx 6am eastern).

Update Everything
When you make a change to housecleaning it normally does not affect events or appointments that already have completed OR their event date has passed. Check this box to make changes to all events and when the cleanup runs (usually around 5am) it will apply the changes to everything.
Remove ORPHAN Clients
Select YES to remove any client that is not connected to at least one event.
Database Maintenance

The following options are most likely not needed unless requested by our customer support, however, running any of these utilities is most likely harmless.

Fix Upgrade Issues
When upgrading from version 5 the process may stop if you have a lot of data. Run this utility to finish the process which fixes Appointments not displaying, general setup options, and event fixes.

Gigbuilder uses cookies for some parts of navigation and sending page info to our backend server. If you have upgraded from version 5 or notice 404 errors it could be a corrupted cookie. Click view to see what we are storing or clear to remove all of them.

Refresh Search Index
Gigbuilder auto-updates your search index regularly BUT Run this utility if you have just uploaded a large music list or see inconsistent search results..

Rebuild Search Index
Run ONLY if the refresh (above) did not solve your issue with results. Gigbuilder will delete and rebuild your entire search index.

Compact Database
Compact procedure can increase database performance especially if a lot of data was added/imported recently. Compact normally runs daily or weekly.

Database Fixup
Run this utility if you are unable to open a worksheet, client, resource, etc. Fixup task looks for and removes database inaccuracies.

Deleted Document Fixup
Run this utility if you are unable to open a worksheet, client, resource, etc because of a deleted document error. This process takes a LONG TIME and may take your Gigbuilder offline.

Repair Next Actions
Run this utility if Next Actions are not linking to events and vice/versa. It may also be run immediately after upgrading from version 5.

Test Email Server
Run this utility to test your email server connection. If successful you'll get an email to your admin address. It also provides diagnostic information for our support staff
Setup Wizard
You can run or re-run the setup wizard which will pull some information from your WeDJ.com file and setup some basic forms, etc.
